Upon completion of his basic training, he undertook his specialist orthopaedic training on the Bristol rotation and also a sport injury and complex arthroplasty fellowship in Peth, Australia.
Mr Punwar was appointed as a Consultant Trauma Orthopaedic Surgeon upon his return to the UK and entered the specialist register in 2014. He has been a consultant at University Hospital Lewisham since 2019 and is the current Clinical Director of the orthopaedic unit.
