Mr Rupesh I Bhatt is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He studied at King Edward's School, Edgbaston and received his master's degree at Cambridge University and trained in Cambridge, London and Birmingham. Mr Bhatt undertook his senior training in uro-oncology at The Christie Hospital in Manchester and a visiting fellowship in laparoscopic uro-oncology in Melbourne, Australia. In 2006 Mr Bhatt was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Mr Rupesh Bhatt is actively involved in the research. He has received a doctorate degree in prostate cancer stem cells and has been awarded multiple awards and research grants. Mr Bhatt is the author of numerous research publications and presents national and international presentations.
Mr Rupesh Bhatt specialises in all aspects of uro-oncology and laparoscopic urology. He accesses patients with a range of urological problems and his urological treatment includes vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, circumcision, cyst removal, hydrocele surgery, prostate surgery, testicular implants, cystoscopy, bladder lesion removal.
Mr Bhatt considers good communication with patients of utmost importance and he follows them through all phases of their treatment and recovery. Rupesh is recognised as one of the countries leading kidney surgeons and his work has been highlighted in the BBC series 'Surgeons on the Edge: Last chance saloon'.
