Qualifications

I studied Medicine at King’s College London and qualified with an MB, BS in 1995. Most of my post-graduate clinical training took place at King’s College Hospital, one of Europe’s foremost centres for the treatment of liver disease. In addition to training in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, I also received training in all aspect of General Surgery.

During my training I took up an academic appointment with King’s College London as a Lecturer in Surgery. I undertook clinical and basic science research as well as teaching.

At the end of my training, I undertook a fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. Cambridge is a renowned centre for transplant surgery and it was here that I also undertook a two-year training fellowship in solid organ transplantation (liver, pancreas, kidney and multi-visceral).

I obtained my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2008 and I am on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.
