Mr Matthew Mason

Mr Matthew Mason is a Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon with particular interests in laparoscopic surgery, hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, anti-reflux surgery and achalasia. He also has interests in bariatric surgery and the surgical management of conditions affecting the stomach, oesophagus and spleen.

Mr Mason graduated from the University of Southampton in 2002 and subsequently completed his higher surgical training in the South West of England. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016.

His surgical practice includes cholecystectomy, hernia repair, fundoplication and splenectomy. Mr Mason is a member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.
