From the very first consultation for my cataracts, I felt confident I was in safe hands. Mr Deshmukh fully explained the options and his recommendations for my consideration. My decision was for EDOF bilateral surgery and my confidence was more than justified as the procedure went very well with no discomfort at all. Despite wearing the eye shields after the operation, I was immediately aware I could see so clearly. My poor eyesight was adversely affecting my life and general well being. Thanks to Mr Deshmukh, I no longer need glasses and have extremely good long and short vision. More importantly my world is brighter.

I guess like most people about to undergo cataract surgery I was just a little trepidatious as I walked into Moorfields back in January. I was told the operation on both eyes would be relatively simple and completely painless but even so, lurking in the brain were fears of lasers, scalpels and who knew what other implements of torture all coming for my eyeballs. When I walked out again a couple of hours later, the world was transformed. Everything was brighter and clearer and shinier and the next morning when I opened the paper I could read faultlessly without glasses for the first time in 15 years. So what about the "horrors" of the operation? I should have believed what I had been told by Mr Deshmukh: there was no pain, no discomfort even, just 40 minutes or so lying on my back while fuzzy images of him and his team transformed my life. A month later I am only just starting to get a little blase about that transformation. The world is back in focus and I cannot thank Mr Deshmukh enough nor praise him sufficiently for his skill and expertise.

My wife and I had our initial consultation with Mr Rajesh Deshmukh couple of weeks back and with his advice, expert counselling, and suggestion we accepted and agreed to go ahead with bilateral cataract surgery the following week. Mr Deshmukh undertook the procedure of our cataract eye surgery (both eyes) few days after the consultation with exceptional care, professionalism and skill and implanted the best premium lenses. I would recommend sedation on top of the anaesthetic as although the procedure is painless it helps to be completely relaxed. My wife and I are delighted with the results, the surgery and process were quick, painless, and saved us the trouble of having to schedule two procedures for each eye separately. The treatment has improved quality of our life, with clear, improved vision and trust it will be freedom from wearing glasses. I was delighted with the lens replacement procedure carried out by Mr Deshmukh three weeks ago. I had worn contact lenses for 45 years but three years ago, in my early 60's, had to abandon them for glasses, on which I was completely dependent. Now I only need to wear +1 glasses for reading the smallest print (eg ingredient lists on food packets). I had both eyes done on the same day which was easy and convenient and was back at work the following afternoon. The procedure itself was completed within about 45 minutes and all the staff were kind, supportive and helpful. I would recommend sedation on top of the anaesthetic as although the procedure is painless it helps to be completely relaxed.

From start to finish the experience was calm and stressful. Dr. Deshmukh explained very well what was going to happen. The treatment itself was totally painless and was over in less than 2 minutes. I felt totally safe in Dr. Deshmukh's hands.
