Mr. Rajeev Peravali is a highly qualified Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon. He has received the highest level of training. He graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School and then continued his training in some of the most renowned surgical units around the UK, including the University Hospital Birmingham, Norfolk and Norwich.

Over the past 18 years, he has developped advanced skills in colorectal surgery. For his astonishing performance, he was selected to complete the "John Goligher Fellowship in advanced Coloproctology" in Leeds. Mr. Peravali has performed more than 5000 surgeries and 90% of these are laparoscopic (key hole) procedures as he aims to enhance his patients' recovery. He has great interest in this field and for this reason he was awarded the "Master of Surgery" degree by the University of Edinburgh after he had to submit a dissertation of his research with title "Enhanced recovery after Colorectal surgery". His research has been presented both nationally and internationally.

Mr Peravali is also an accredited robotic surgeon and now performs the majority of his major surgies using the Da Vinci XI system.

Additionally. Mr. Rajeev Peravali has special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and he is currenty the lead IBD Surgeon at SWB. He also holds other prestigious positions: he is a surgical tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons and he is a Conlsultant Sponsor of the FINCH service.
