Mr Peter James

Mr Peter James qualified at Nottingham Medical School in 1985 and undertook his specialist training in Leeds and Glasgow, where he was also Lecturer in the Academic Orthopaedic Department at Glasgow University working with Professor David Hamblen. Shortly afterwards he completed his fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery at Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast, where he worked with Mr David Beverland on joint replacement surgery.

His wide experience covers a large number of hip and knee replacement operations each year both in the NHS and privately at the Park Hospital and has developed a national and international reputation for revision and complex knee replacement. He is particularly experienced in performing high-performance knee replacements for active patients and difficult revision knee surgery.

He has particular expertise and experience in high performance knee replacements for active patients and difficult revision knee surgery. He is at the forefront of knee replacement design and lectures widely on all aspects of primary and revision knee surgery around the world.
