Mr Forouhi attended medical school in Edinburgh and trained in general surgery in The North East. He then returned to Edinburgh to undertake a research MD in breast cancer chemotherapy and surgery.
Mr. Forouhi trained in breast surgery including reconstructive surgery in the Edinburgh breast Unit in the 1990's. He took up his first consultant appointment in breast and general surgery in 1996 in West London, and moved to Cambridge in 2004 where he has focused on a specialist breast surgery practice.
He has a busy surgical practice with excellent outcomes as evaluated by national measures and works collaboratively with aesthetic plastic surgeons to optimise long term aesthetic outcomes after mastectomy. He maintains high level breast ultrasound skill levels and integrate breast ultrasound in all aspects of his breast clinical practice.
Mr. Fofouhi's private practice is undertaken under the umbrella of the Cambridge breast multidisciplinary team, ensuring access to internationally leading experts in all areas of cancer treatment.
