I feel very fortunate that my operation was conducted by Mr Subramanian. He put me at my ease, explained everything very carefully and was very professional. My scar is very neat and I am healing well.

I found Dr Padmanabhan Subramanian / Paddy to be very friendly and kind but also professional. He took the time to explain the whole procedure to us and not once did he say the problem was caused by my weight, which is something every other doctors refer to even if you have an ear ache. He honestly has changed my life, when I met Paddy I was using a stick or a wheelchair and I thought that would be something I'd have to come to terms with, but now I am walking unaided and I'm able to walk my dog around the block and I look forward to doing so. I'm getting stronger everyday and we are planning a family holiday aboard next year, I thought that I'd be left a home prior to my operation. So thank you Mr Paddy, for giving me my life back.

I am so grateful to Paddy and his medical team for being so professional and caring throughout my hip replacement surgery. My operation was a complete success and has improved my quality of life so much. I feel so grateful and lucky that it was Paddy and his team who did my operation. What an amazing surgeon/caring doctor. Thank you so much.

Since the first time Dr Paddy came to see my in A&E in January he has been nothing but kind, always putting me at ease with his straight forward but jovial manner. He explained what the situation was / what was going to happen in an easily understandably manner - especially as I was a) traumatized, b) alone in the hospital due to Covid and c) quite spaced out from all the drugs ha ha ha . Coming to see me after my elbow operation he said 'its fixed - get it moving'. I loved his matter of fact / direct way and I have tried to adhere to that every day since then!! When I saw him in my first follow up appointment at the Fracture Clinic @ BGH (my wrist still broken as op wasn't for another few days), again he was so lovely and positive about the surgery I'd had / was due to have and took the time to answer any questions my mum and I had. The last time I had a follow up, I went in to see one of his other Consultants but he caught me as I was leaving and called me into his room and was enthused so much about my progress and how well I had done / was doing I actually cried happy tears on my way to work! Again - today he was so positive and enthused about where I was at and wanting to take a video to show students. Overall his direct, but positive and jovial manner has definitely helped me in my recovery. I'm sure he is the same with all his patients, but he has made me feel very special and that he is totally invested in me, my injury and subsequent recovery. I am so so thankful he was the one to answer the call from A&E back in January!!
