Consultant ophthalmology, in the NHS since 1998, initially at Luton till 2001 and then at Huddersfield and Halifax till 2014.Published extensively on glaucoma surgery in peer-reviewed journals. International expert on non-penetrating glaucoma surgery. Technical advisor to NICE on glaucoma surgery for 3 years till 2011. Awarded the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
