About Mr Narayana Prasad
Mr Narayana Prasad is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery with interests in arthroscopy, sports injury, shoulder and elbow replacement, trauma surgery and the management of fractures.
Following his medical degree, Mr Prasad completed a Masters in trauma and orthopaedics. He then became a clinical research fellow and developed a keen interest in shoulder and elbow replacement. Mr Prasad completed basic and higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in the UK.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr Prasad was awarded a six month fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery - subsequently, he was selected for a six month international fellowship in upper extremity reconstruction and sports surgery in Canada.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Prasad has continued his research interests throughout his career and has extensively presented papers both nationally and internationally. He has also completed many service evaluation projects as well as several publications over 20 years in peer-reviewed journals. He is passionate about work and is involved in teaching and training.
