Mr Moloy Dey

Mr Dey is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a passion for medical education. He started his ophthalmology training in the West Midlands and then moved to London for higher surgical training. He completed Fellowships in Medical Retina/Uveitis and Medical Education at Moorfield's Eye Hospital and UCL Medical School, where he participated in undergraduate and postgraduate ophthalmology education. During this time, he earned a Diploma in Medical Education, a UCL Medical Education Award, and Moorfields Star Awards for his contributions to medical education. Mr Dey has a strong interest in medical education and regularly teaches junior ophthalmologists cataract surgery. He frequently lectures at seminars and courses and trains various healthcare professionals on ophthalmology topics. Mr Dey also holds a Master's degree in Medical Education, focusing his research on the transition from trainee to consultant, for which his thesis received a Merit accreditation. He has also conducted research on using simulation in cataract surgery.

Mr Dey previously served as a clinical teaching fellow at UCL Medical School, where he created a module on patient interaction for early medical students. He currently leads GP training in Ophthalmology and provides nurse training within his department. He also examines postgraduate exams for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and trains specialist trainees in clinical and surgical ophthalmology.
