Mr Mohan Kumar

Mr Mohan Kumar is a consultant Gynaecologist at Good Hope Hospital, University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS trust. After qualifying in MBBS medicine from Mysore university in 1998, Mr Kumar completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in West Midlands in 2011. Mr Kumar has special interest in complex gynaecological surgery and oncology as well as in advanced laparoscopic surgery, having completed training in renowned centres within the UK and abroad. Mr Kumar favours laparoscopic hysterectomy promoting enhanced recovery and early discharge from the hospital, also specializing in laparoscopic surgery for severe endometriosis and pelvic pain.

Furthermore, Mr Kumar is an expert in many general gynaecological conditions, e.g. ovarian cysts, uterine polyps and menstrual disorders. Outside of his clinical work, Mr Kumar continuously audits his clinical performance to ensure his quality of care is always excellent and well delivered. He also furthers medical research, with interest in the management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, and infertility.
