A very big thank you to Mr Hashemi. He performed a cholecystectomy and a hiatal hernia repair with fundoplication. Mr Hashemi took the time to listen to me and my health story, and clearly explained each procedure step by step. Communicating with him and his team is very easy. Penny, his assistant, is wonderful, helpful, and efficient. Mr Hashemi is a brilliant and exceptionally skilled surgeon. One of the best experiences with a doctor throughout. Clearly highly skilled in his domain but was able to explain things in a way I could clearly understand as a non-expert. Across the consultations and the hiatal hernia surgery I underwent, he made sure I was kept in the loop as to what he was thinking and why, as well as the possible outcomes that may arrive. To me, Dr Hashemi is a great example of a doctor who is not only highly capable but also one who provides excellent patient experience.

My experience with Mr Majid Hashemi has been exceptional from start to finish. I had suffered from severe acid reflux for years, and before recommending surgery, he carried out a thorough investigation with all the necessary tests to make sure the LINX procedure was the right option for me. Once the results confirmed it was suitable, he explained everything clearly, discussed the benefits and risks, answered all my questions, and gave me the time and confidence to make my own decision without any pressure. The surgery has genuinely changed my life. I recently had hiatus hernia repair surgery (LINX implant.). I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Hashemi. Since I first met him 6 years ago, I have always found him to be a kind, warm and caring clinician. He took the time to really get to know and understand me, and I have always felt included and consulted in the decision making around my surgery. I never felt rushed or pressurised to proceed until I was ready. Leading up to the surgery and beyond, he explained to me exactly what to expect, and I continue to feel fully supported by Mr Hashemi post surgery. I have always had, and continue to have, complete confidence in his expertise, judgement and skill. My heartfelt thanks to him for everything.

I was very nervous to proceed with seeing a Consultant General Surgeon following a triple diagnosis of GERD, a Hiatus Hernia and Barrett’s Oesophagus, but couldn’t be more pleased after seeing Mr Hashemi. He explained all the options with articulate detail and then operated, repairing the Hernia and fitting a Lynx implant to suppress the acid reflux. Less than 2 weeks into my recovery I’m without pain or discomfort and able to look forward to continuing symptom free. Nothing but admiration and gratitude to Majid for his outstanding care and professionalism. DH
