About Mr Mahantesh Karoshi

Mr Mahantesh Karoshi is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in minimally invasive treatments for fibroids, adenomyosis, and endometriosis. He sees private patients at 108 Harley Street, London, with a focus on reproductive health, benign gynaecological conditions, and innovative treatments that avoid unnecessary surgery.

With over a decade of experience, Mr Karoshi is known for combining advanced surgical expertise with a calm and considered approach to care. Following his medical training, he was awarded a prestigious fellowship by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, which took him to Argentina to further his expertise in managing complex placental conditions after multiple caesarean sections.

He has led the introduction of fertility-preserving technologies, including being the first in his department to offer the TruClear system for uterine polyp removal—an approach that is less invasive and more suitable for women wishing to preserve fertility.

In recent years, his practice has expanded to include incision-free fibroid treatments such as Sonata and StarMed radiofrequency ablation. He has also adopted non-invasive diagnostic tools for conditions like endometrial cancer and endometriosis, including the use of WID-qC, advanced ultrasound, MRI, and newer tests such as Ziwig and Endosure.

Since joining the specialist register in 2010, Mr Karoshi has built a practice centred on truly listening to his patients. He recognises that each woman’s experience is unique and takes the time to investigate symptoms thoroughly, offering clear and individualised treatment options that reflect each patient’s needs and values.

His approach is compassionate, collaborative, and holistic. He believes in empowering women with knowledge, enabling them to make confident and informed decisions about their health at every stage of life.

Outside of his clinical work, Mr Karoshi is vegetarian, enjoys long-distance running, and practises meditation and classical music as ways to relax and recharge.

I saw Dr Karoshi for fibroid- related issues. My appointment with him left a positive impression about him. He took time to explain my situation with me, including the various options open to me and others I had not even previously considered. He also took time to listen to me, which I found genuinely helpful and refreshing. Even though this was a first appointment, I hope to continue my treatment with him as I feel to be in good hands. He made me feel quite at ease, while also giving his honest views.

After going from doc to doc for my endometriosis treatment, I ended up having an online appointment (since I’m not London based) with Dr Karoshi upon a friends recommendation. It was game changing, he took the time to listen and ask questions no doctor had asked before. He truely wanted to understand my case properly and provided meaningful steps forward. He walked me through all the different options. Either my case out of his specific preview, he also connected me to a surgeon he has vetted. I will forever be grateful since he was so open and honest, took the time explaining my condition and options and had clear next steps for me to consider and follow. Also the appointment booking process and response and communication post appointment was the best I’ve experienced in the UK

Mr Karoshi was amazing throughout my procedure. He was incredibly understanding and reassuring. Although I was initially there for one specific concern, he noticed I was worried about another issue as well and took the time to listen. He respected how I felt and addressed the concerns that were important to me. I'm very happy with the care I received and would highly recommend him.

Really cares about your patient. took the time to explain everything about my parathyroid in a way that was easy to understand and never made me feel rushed. They listened carefully to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and I genuinely felt heard throughout the appointment. It’s rare to come away from a medical appointment feeling so reassured and well informed. I’m incredibly grateful for the care, professionalism, and kindness I received. Thank you for such an excellent experience.

World-Class Bespoke Fibroid Surgery with Mr Karoshi at the Royal Free If, like me, you find the thought of surgery daunting, be reassured you are in the safest, kindest, and most capable hands with Mr Karoshi. Mr Karoshi is the most compassionate and brilliant gynaecologist I have ever met. When dealing with debilitating symptoms the right consultant makes all the difference. I cannot recommend Mr Karoshi enough. His calming presence, genuine empathy and forward-thinking approach are exactly the qualities you hope for. Fibroids dominated my life for decades with debilitating bleeding and pain. Advised watchful waiting, they continued to grow. I had MRgFUS and Myosure, both successful, until a further Myosure failed and I bled continuously. Severely anaemic, haemorrhaging with clots the size of my hand, I was admitted to hospital by ambulance. It was incredibly frightening. I felt failed by an archaic system that dismissed my pain, normalised extreme bleeding, and narrowed my options based on age. I was put on long-term Decapeptyl injections that did not stop my bleeding, caused awful side effects and bone density loss. Several consultants advised hysterectomy which left me in tears because I wanted to save my womb. Thankfully I found Mr Karoshi. From the first consultation, I felt heard and completely safe. In his care I was treated as a person, not a statistic, and felt empowered for the first time in years. His reassuring smile was like a light in the darkness. Mr Karoshi is a gifted communicator. From his clear MRI diagnosis I finally understood what was happening...

I have not had any other healthcare professional provide meaningful support to me regarding my gynaecological health as Mr Karoshi. I had been dealing with my issues for over a year, and Mr Karoshi was able to find a full solution for me within a couple of months. He is very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend him for other young women feeling unsupported in their gynaecological health!
