About Mr Imran Masood
Mr Imran Masood is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a special interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and was trained at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in all forms and treatments of glaucoma.
Mr Masood is a pioneering surgeon and was one of the first surgeons in the UK to use the novel Istent device, lowering eye pressure through a minimally invasive technique. He has vast experience in Istent procedures in complex glaucoma, having implanted over 150 stents. His research interests are broad, and he has published extensively in his field. Mr Masood's surgical complication rates are well below the national average, despite exceptionally complex procedures that he performs.

Had a full review by different staff all of which I was very pleased with. No complaints or disappointment with the service except it cost more than I had anticipated despite having a letter with the appointment details on and the supposed cost. I would have appreciated knowing the full cost in advance as I would have considered carefully whether to have accepted the appointments.

I do not believe that I could be treated better for my eye condition than I have been since transferring to Mr Massood. I have been given confidence that the treatment I am receiving will result in the best outcome.
Dr Masood was very professional and I had full confidence in his ability. He clearly did a great job. The only reason I haven't given him the full 5 stars was because he didn't explain or talk through what he was doing which some people might prefer but I like to know what's going on so that my anxiety is less.
