Mr Hyder Ridha is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon practicing in the Hertfordshire and London area. He specialises in cosmetic surgery and microsurgical techniques, aiming to create a natural and fresh outcome for his patients.
Mr Ridha completed his MBBS in University College London in 2003, supplemented with a BSc (Hons) in Anatomy and Developmental Biology, also from UCL (2000). After completing his basic surgical training he undertook his specialist training in the Eastern deanery, acquiring his FRCS (Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012. Beyond this, Mr Ridha undertook further training in the form of a fellowship in microsurgery in London, developing his interest in breast, head and neck reconstruction. He also completed aesthetic fellowship training in all areas of facial, breast and body rejuvenation.
Mr Ridha's clinical practice covers all aspects of surgical and non-surgical aesthetics of the breasts, face and body, including breast reconstruction using microsurgical techniques and skin cancer treatments. Understanding that surgery needs to create an aesthetic harmony, Mr Ridha tailors his care to each individual patient so that they may achieve their desired outcomes.
As well as his clinical practice, Mr Ridha is a supervisor to higher surgical trainees in plastic surgery and his research interests include antioxidants, anti-ageing and microsurgery.

It’s a nerve wracking thing to have surgery, but Mr Ridha made the whole experience a much easier one. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and matter of fact. I would recommend him without hesitation. His PA Teresa is also a joy. I’m very grateful for their support throughout.

Mr Ridha was excellent at explaining clearly what he was going to do. I felt totally reassured and confident in his hands. He has a great way of making you feel relaxed and and comfortable. My procedure was under local anaesthetic so he was able to talk to me throughout the whole process. Mr Ridha has a great bedside manner. I am extremely happy with my experience.

Hyder Ridha performed by breast reduction and uplift in Oct 2019. He came highly recommended and I wasn’t disappointed. For me, it was a life-changing decision to have this procedure and a little daunting but I always felt reassured by Hyder and his team and found the whole process very straightforward. My recovery has been smooth but more importantly, I’m absolutely thrilled with the results.
