Mr Timothy Guy McWilliams

Mr Guy McWilliams is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK.

He works for both Spire Healthcare and Calderale and Huddersfield Trust since 2005, where his team have been recognised nationally for their outstanding work and outcomes. He is also the clinical lead for elective arthroplasty (surgical reconstruction or replacement of joints), and is an on call Trauma Consultant.

Mr McWilliams has a keen interest in joint replacements, revision replacements.

As per the 2019 National Joint Registry, he had completed over 2,000 hip replacements and 250 knee replacements. His extensive experience in the field enables him to provide the highest standard of care to his patients and ensure the best possible outcomes. He has a keen interest in medical education, and is a member of the teaching faculty at Leeds University, where he both teaches and examines trainee orthopaedic surgeons. He has published articles in the Orthopaedics and Trauma Journal UK, and has been a Guest Speaker at the British Hip Society Conference in the past.

He graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster School in 1992 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and completed a fellowship programme at the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 1996. He has completed two further fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty.

He is the Clinical lead for Joint replacement at Calderdale and Huddersfield Trust.

He is on the Court o Examiners for the Royal College of Sugeons, England, for entry level examinations in surgery (MRCS).

He is an Examiner in the exit Orthopaedic surgery examination(FRCS Tr/Oth) for the 4 Surgical colleges in UK and Ireland.
