Mr Graham Merrick

Mr. Graham Merrick has been practicing Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for over 25 years, after qualifying in both Dentistry (1990) and Medicine (1997) at Sheffield University. After qualifying in medicine, he undertook 3 years of basic surgical training, before carrying out a further 5 years of specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training (the surgery of the face, mouth and jaws) in Manchester. His speciality training focused on surgery for cancer of the head and neck and facial reconstruction. He also undertook a specialist fellowship in Head and Neck cancer surgery in Glasgow and also a Cosmetic Facial Surgery fellowship in the United States. Since then Mr. Merrick worked as a full-time NHS consultant in Maxillofacial surgery at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton for 20 years, before recently moving to the Royal Devon University Hospital in Exeter. He presently caries out private surgical practice through the Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital, Taunton, Somerset..

Mr Merrick is fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as well as the General Dental Council.(GDC) He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England. Holding fellowships in both  specialist Surgery FRCS (OMFS), General Surgery (FRCS) and Dental Surgery (FDSRCS). He is  also a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS).

Mr Merrick has volunteered with a charity called Facing Africa. This charity undertakes facial surgery to treat the effects of NOMA.
