Mr Geraint Lloyd is a Consultant specialising in General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgery at Lister Hospital. He has an interest in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease and further interests in gallstones, hernia, colonoscopy, and treatment of haemorrhoids, fistula and fissures.
Mr Lloyd qualified in Medicine in 1998 from the University of Leicester, which is where he also undertook his higher surgical training. Following this, he was awarded a Laparoscopic Colorectal Fellowship which took place at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
He has been a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Lister Hospital since 2011 and has previously held the positions of Clinical Director for General Surgery and Colorectal Cancer MDT lead.
He is an accredited Bowel Cancer Screening colonoscopist.

I was listened to, understood and had my condition explained to me by Doctor Lloyd clearly. He was understanding and worked quickly to ensure my procedure went well and I was at ease throughout. Highly recommended.

He was very thorough and professional. We agreed on a course of action and he followed that up that up with a detailed report copied to the urology consultant at the Lister where I understand he also works. I have not heard from him since then and assume that this is because he has not heard anything from The Lister. I do not know whether my expectations are unreasonable but would certainly welcome some news either Mr Lloyd or a member of his team
