Mr Douglas Newman

Mr Douglas Newman is a Consultant Ophthalmologist. Their clinical practice encompasses general ophthalmology, with sub-specialty interests in cataract surgery, vitreo-retinal surgery (including retinal detachment, vitreous haemorrhage and macular disorders), and medical retina disorders (including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy).

Mr Newman qualified from the University of Oxford Medical School. Their specialist training in ophthalmology was undertaken at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

They are also a trustee for the Cambridge Eye Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting and funding ophthalmic research, education and innovation.
