Mr Donald Starr

Mr. Donald Starr is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon with over two decades of experience in the treatment of complex oral issues including jaw and mouth lesions, complex teeth problems, jaw lesions & deformities, and salivary gland disease. He sees private patients at the Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital.

Mr. Starr earned his bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery in 1979, after which he undertook his Dental Surgery Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Starr qualified in Medicine in 1988 and gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1993 and the Inter Collegiate Fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 1996. Mr. Starr undertook his Specialist training on the North East & Yorkshire Speciality Training Rotations, and upon completion, was appointed Consultant at Hull in 1998.  Mr Starr obtained practicing privileges at the then BUPA Hospital Hull & East Riding (now Spire) in 1998 and continues his private practice at that hospital. Mr Starr retired from NHS practice at the end of 2021.
