Professor David D'Cruz

Mr David D'Cruz is a Consultant Rheumatologist based in London. His major clinical and research interests are systemic lupus erythematosus, the antiphospholipid syndrome and systemic vasculitis.

He qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, completing Senior House Officer and Registrar rotations at University College and the Royal London Hospital. He undertook a Clinical Registrar post, followed by an ARC Clinical Research Fellowship at St Thomas' Hospital, which lead to an MD degree. Following this, he was appointed as a Senior Registrar at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospitals, and was soon promoted to Senior Lecturer in Rheumatology.

Mr D'Cruz has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, 25 editorials and reviews, and has also authored 15 book chapters. He is Editor in Chief of the Journal of Autoimmune Diseases and a Managing Editor of the journal Lupus.
