Mr David Chapple

Mr David Chapple is a Consultant Spinal & Orthopaedic Surgeon with nearly two decades of experience in the field. David specialises in spinal care, including lumbar and cervical spinal conditions, motion preservation surgery, disc replacement and vertebroplasty. David works within an excellent multidisciplinary team, to ensure positive patient outcomes and currently practices privately at the Ramsey New Hall Hospital.

David qualified as a doctor in 1990, at St Thomas Hospital Medical School. He then progressed to becoming a Spinal and Orthopaedic surgeon by undertaking a prestigious international Spinal Research and Surgical fellowship, at The Royal Adelaide University Hospital in Australia. He also gained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeons. After completing his specialist training, David was appointed Consultant at the Salisbury Foundation Trust in 2001; and is also active in the teaching community, taking time to mentor and supervise medical students, trainee surgeons, GPs, physiotherapists and junior doctors. He is a trustee of Horatio's Garden Charity, memeber of British Association of Spinal Surgery and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association plus Royal College of Surgeons  England among other organisations. He attends meetings of these organisations regularly, equipping him with the latest knowledge to ensure the best care for his patients.
