Mr Darrell Allen

Mr Allen is a leading Consultant Urological Surgeon with HCA Healthcare and at the Royal Free NHS trust. Having completed his urology training in London, he undertook a fellowship at University College Hospital in the diagnosis and management of complex urinary tract stones. He was appointed as a consultant at the Royal Free Hospital in November 2011.

He undertakes weekly outpatient clinics, flexible cystoscopy lists and operating sessions. He deals with a broad range of urological issues including urinary symptoms, blood in the urine, elevated PSA, scrotal swellings, prostatitis and kidney stones.

Mr Allen aims to provide a world class rapid access clinic which is tailored to each patients specific needs.

He is heavily involved in the teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors. His research focuses on the treatment and prevention of kidney stones in which area he has given numerous international presentations and written multiple papers.
