Mr Con Kelleher

Mr. Kelleher was my chosen consultant for both of my pregnancies, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. During my first pregnancy, my waters broke unexpectedly at 36 weeks. Despite it being 4:00 AM, Mr. Kelleher took my call immediately and met me at the hospital just two hours later. His decisive recommendation to deliver early to avoid infection ensured that both my baby and I remained healthy and safe. ​When my second pregnancy became significantly more complex with a high risk of premature delivery, I knew I was in the best possible hands. Mr. Kelleher monitored me meticulously, coordinating additional specialist care with the premature delivery team at St Thomas'. Despite two hospitalizations, his expert guidance helped me reach full term. He delivered our healthy second baby with the same skill and care he showed the first time. Beyond his own practice, his referrals to other specialists—including an endocrinologist and physiotherapist—were outstanding. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our family.

Con took excellent care of us throughout our pregnancy and delivery (planned c-section). I have very high medical anxiety and it was approached with great empathy and understanding. He is surrounded by a great team as well. We would highly recommend.

Mr Kelleher took care of me privately for my pregnancy, and I was absolutely blown away by the truly exceptional care he provided. After a number of disappointing experiences in my NHS care, my partner and I made the decision to go private. It is the best money we have ever spent. As a surgical doctor, I researched very carefully who to choose, and I am so delighted that we chose Mr Kelleher. My first consultation was at around 24 weeks. He is an expert in the field and made me and my partner feel very confident, answering all our questions with evidence to back it up. His secretary Amanda and midwife Rebecca are also very helpful, responsive and polite. I was tossing up whether to go for the antenatal package or just C-section/ delivery package, however I would recommend being seen antenatally as I developed preeclampsia and this was promptly identified by Mr Kelleher in clinic using the most up to date blood tests (sFlt-1/PlGF ratio - important as my other tests were negative for preeclampsia, other doctors did not seem to know about this test). He was easily and directly contactable at all times, rather this being delegated to another person. He promptly arranged admission at around 33 weeks, where I had excellent care. He monitored me very closely, and when I also developed obstetric cholestasis he quickly intervened at the perfect moment for both me and my baby to deliver my healthy baby boy. Mr Kelleher was simply fantastic! Right from the first consultation, I was immediately put at ease. His calm and reassuring manner made our first pregnancy feel like a dream. His whole team is a delight too. We had an elective c-section and couldn’t recommend Mr Kelleher more - the whole experience before, during and after theatre was seamless and stress free. My recovery has been surprisingly quick and couldn’t be happier with how my scar is looking already only a few weeks in! We will 100% be back for baby number 2!

Mr Kelleher, his team and the Westminster Suite provided my maternity care for our first baby. I would highly recommend Mr Kelleher, he’s a great surgeon and doctor and made me feel assured throughout my pregnancy. He was always available for any questions via phone / WhatsApp even though I was a low risk case and most of my concerns were very minor I always heard back so quickly, I am not sure how he ever has time off! I 100% trusted him with my care which is important as someone who has health anxiety.

Dr Kelleher recently supported us through a high risk pregnancy (from week 13 - full term) following a very long and stressful IVF fertility journey. His diligence, professionalism and pragmatic care was exceptional from start to finish. Dr Kelleher was effectively managed our concerns. No question or topic of discussion was off limits. The elective c section was of the highest quality with a great and problem free recovery. Dr Kelleher’s care has ensured a stress free and medically uncomplicated arrival of our much longed for baby boy. Without his involvement, we feel the outcome could have been very different. We would 100% use him again (if we were so lucky) and Dr Kelleher receives our strongest recommendation.

Mr Kelleher provided professional and supportive care throughout my pregnancy. He was dedicated, committed and caring. He guided us through my pregnancy which became more complex towards the end. I was in contact with Mr Kelleher frequently, and he made himself available due to my increased need in care. The entire team at Westminster Maternity suite were helpful, considerate and thoughtful. Particularly when one feels and is in a vulnerable state, it makes a huge difference. Wonderful delivery experience, and it felt comfortable and familiar due to Mr Kelleher’s seamless care. The anaesthetist for my c-section had excellent bedside manner, they put me totally at ease, which meant a lot. He was extremely professional. Mr Kelleher delivered my first baby and I am keen for him to deliver my next. My family were very grateful for the healthcare provided by him, and everyone at Westminster Maternity suite. We attributed the safety of our child's delivery as paramount. He would stop at nothing to ensure the safety of me and my baby.

I am absolutely thrilled with the care I received from Dr Kelleher throughout my pregnancy, delivery and recovery process. He was absolutely phenomenal throughout and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. He is extremely experienced and professional but he is also very kind and compassionate. I had regular appointments with him during the pregnancy and he also made himself available over the phone or WhatsApp anytime with prompt and detailed responses every time. I am somebody who likes to do research and had a lot of questions in the lead up to the delivery all of which he answered incredibly patiently and thoroughly. We discussed my birth plan in detail and he was very informative yet let me make the final decisions on preferred method without swaying me one way or the other. There were unexpected complications during the delivery and the trust with me during the pregnancy helped tremendously in relying on his judgment in the moment. The quick actions of Dr Kelleher ensured that I had a safe delivery and quite likely saved my little baby or at the very least prevented more serious complications during the delivery. His expertise was also crucial in ensuring I had a speedy recovery from the emergency C-section. It has been an incredible pleasure to have Dr Kelleher alongside me during the pregnancy and delivery and I would not hesitate to reach out to him for any future pregnancies.

We are so grateful for the exceptional and thoughtful care over the years that Mr. Kelleher has provided for our family on our journey throughout both pregnancies and the safe delivery for our two daughters. We highly respect Mr. Kelleher’s expertise and judgment and always take comfort knowing that we are in the best hands. His ability to thoroughly explain to us the situation, any risks, our options and recommended best course of action and keep us well informed is truly invaluable. He is extremely accessible and always answered our questions and got us what we needed in a timely manner, no matter what day or time. He is always well prepared and knows his patients well, not having to repeat medical history each visit. We really felt heard and that he understood any concerns that we had and went above and beyond in addressing them. The quality of his work during theatre is outstanding and is demonstrated through a straightforward recovery and very minimal scarring. His team is also extremely competent and we have such high regard for Mr. Kelleher.

I have always been very anxious about pregnancy and birth, so before getting pregnant I spent a lot of time researching various doctors, and ended up choosing Mr Kelleher to oversee my pregnancy and birth (elective C Section). Mr Kelleher was incredible from start to finish. Thanks to him, I had a very stress free pregnancy, my C Section experience was amazing, I recovered in record time and would do that a thousand times over! It also really helped knowing he was available 24/7 in case of any issues. Mr Kelleher is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, he is also the loveliest and the most gentle person, and is the only one I would trust with future pregnancies.
