Mr Haq has been invaluable to my recovery both during and post cancer treatment and surgery. From our initial consultation my wife and I were completely at ease with his role, and found him to be clear and concise, as well as charming and personable. He ensures that every aspect of his procedures are explained in an easily digestible manner, and goes out of his way to ensure the highest levels of patient care. I really do not know how we could have got through all of this without him. Wonderful Consultant and a wonderful man.

I’ve had the pleasure of having Mr. Haq as my GI doctor for the past 3 years now, and he’s always been very supportive, helpful and thorough with my endometriosis and now with my gastritis diagnosis. Couldn’t ask for a better specialist.

My experience with Mr. Asif Haq, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, was deeply troubling and I urge anyone considering his services to seek a second opinion. Despite my specific health needs as a gay male, my initial contact with Mr Haq was for botox, a non-invasive procedure. Mr. Haq strongly advised me to undergo a fissurectomy and haemorrhoidectomy without adequately discussing alternative treatments, potential complications, or post-operative care—a fact contrary to claims made in my GP records. I was also recommended a colonoscopy simply because it was covered by insurance, which made me feel like a profit opportunity rather than a patient in need of care. Throughout my post-operative appointments, I consistently felt rushed and dismissed, unable to fully express my concerns or pain, which has worsened significantly since the surgery leading me to seek specialist treatment abroad. During my last consultation where Mr. Haq, without any prior warning or adequate anaesthetic, performed an intrusive examination without consent, leaving me feeling violated. Further consultations with other specialists have since questioned the necessity of the initial surgery, suggesting that a non-surgical route should have been considered and criticising the decision to perform two operations simultaneously, leading to excessive scarring. This experience has not only left me in more pain than before but also questioning the integrity of the care I received.
