I have had two knee replacements in a year and they have both been successful. Dr. Kumar is a fantastic surgeon, has a great bedside manner and made me feel at ease and confident in my recovery. I cannot praise him enough. Thankyou.

I found Mr Kumar (and his anaesthetist) very pleasant and helpful. Having already had one hip replaced, I knew what to expect. All the staff at Spire, Manchester were pleasant and considerate, making my experience easier. Physiotherapy and follow up have been straightforward. Many thanks to Mr Kumar and all concerned.

Following a referral from my GP practice, I was accepted for total hip replacement by the NHS to be carried out at the Spire Hospital Manchester. I subsequently attended a preliminary consultation with Mr Arun Kumar who examined me and agreed that the best course of treatment would be a total hip replacement. His team subsequently booked me in for all the necessary tests and surgery was booked for Sunday 7 June 2026. The surgery was carried out without complication and I was discharged by Mr Kumar the following day Monday 08 June 2026 after a post operative x-ray confirmed the surgery had been successful. I have since attended 4 physiotherapy class sessions and have found the whole procedure to be without any concern whatsoever. To conclude, I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Kumar to anyone in need of hip replacement surgery. He explains everything fully and is a very professional surgeon.

I can not thank Mr Kumar and his team enough for giving me back my life. The care i received was wonderful. I had one new hip last year and the other in April this year and now 4 months on i am back doing things that I thought I would never do again. From my first clinic appointment with Mr Kumar, through to my operation and post operative management, I have received outstanding surgical care. Mr Kumar practices in a most professional manner and yet maintains a highly personable nature. He is approachable, instills great confidence and demonstrates an empathetic, caring nature. His amazing surgical skills have massively improved my quality of life and for that I am truly grateful.

My experience for my second hip replacement was excellent same as my first one. Mr Kim’s gave very clear and concise advice explaining the need for surgery including his surgical history regarding clinical outcomes post op all bring positive. I received brilliant one to one care and advice from the start of my journey to discharge. I felt safe in his care. My round healing and scar are clean and neat.

From the initial meeting with Mr. Arun Kumar, I felt confident he understood my problem. He explained clearly what was required. yet I did not feel rushed into making a decision, though I was made aware of alternative ways forward.
