Qualifications
Mr Lavender trained at St George's Hospital Medical School, graduating in 1989. His basic surgical training was undertaken in Manchester. His Speciality training in Orthopaedics was on the North West rotation. He undertook internationally renown Fellowships at Wrightington Hospital, Wigan and Melbourne, Australia. His first Consultant post was at Scarborough, Yorkshire where he set up a comprehensive knee service for the local population. In 2008 he moved to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport to be part of the nationally recognised knee group and develop his knee interests. In 2019 he left the NHS to persue his interest in knee surgery and adress his work life balance. He now works exclusively at the Spire Hospital, Manchester.
