Mr Anand Arya

Mr Anand Arya is a senior Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 35 years of experience with special interest in treating upper limb problems. He has special expertise in treating elbow problems with keyhole surgery. He is a consultant with NHS practice at King's College Hospital, London, working at King's for more than 25 years. He is the foremost elbow surgeon at King's and runs the Elbow clinic inthe King's College Hospital, London.

Mr Arya undertook his orthopaedic training at Jaipur(India), Liverpool (UK) and Dundee(Scotland), completing an elbow fellowship at Tulane University medical school, New Orleans with Buddy Savoie and at Mayo Clinic, USA with Bernard Morrey. He is a fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, England and a member of British Medical Association, British Orthopaedic Association and British Elbow & Shoulder Society.

Mr Arya is an honorary visiting professor at MG university of Medical Science & Technology, Jaipur, India. He regularly lectures medical students and is a clinical. adviser/personal tutor of 12 medical students of Guy's King's and St Thomas school of Medicine, London. He is leading on several clinical research projects, has published widely and regularly speaks on national and international forums. He is an accredited appraiser and the audit lead of Trauma & Orthopaedic department in his hospital. He is the Principal Investigator of a national trial on exploring new methods of treating fracture of the elbow.

Mr Arya is an ex-member of the Governing council of King's College Hospital, London and Deputy Chair of the Local Negotiating Committee of the hospital and the past President of ‘British Indian Orthopaedic Society', UK.
