Mr Amir Bhatti

Mr Amir Bhatti is a Consultant General Surgeon based at Durham University Hospital (UHND). He trained in Cambridge and Birmingham deaneries.

He has extensive experience of 15 years in Breast, Endocrine and General Surgery and has pioneered the Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy procedure in the North East with UNHD being the only hospital in the region offering the service using radioactivity and blue dye. Mr Bhatti has also started Focused Parathyroidectomies at UHND, done on a daycase or overnight stay basis. He also performs elective laparoscopic gallbladder and hernia operations.

Mr Bhatti has received five clinical excellence awards and in his spare time enjoys cricket, cooking and travelling.
