Associate Professor Alex Day is professional, reassuring, and clear in patient interactions. He provides thorough explanations, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident about their treatment and various procedures. Some patients mention explanations can be fast. Outcomes are excellent, with many reporting life-changing improvements and clear vision following cataract and laser eye interventions.
Professor Day was very clear with me about the options I faced and also the restrictions caused by having nanophthalmos - an eye condition that I was unaware of until I came to the clinic and which had left me unable to see without the aid of very strong glasses, +11/12, all my life. It made sense of a lot and, though there are more risks involved, Prof Day was very clear about what the possible outcomes could be and the limits to being able to predict the odds of those limits. I felt also that he really wanted the best outcome for me and, though I am in the early stage of my second eye operation, the outcome has been far, far better than I could have hoped for - for the first time in my life I wake up able to see and can read books without needing glasses.
Very understanding and explained it very well and easy so I can understand
I recently had laser eye surgery with Dr Alex Day and had a very positive experience. He was professional, efficient and reassuring throughout, and I felt very well looked after by him and his team, including his secretary, Aurelia. I’m really pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Dr Day and his team.
Everything was explained in a clear and concise way. Friendly but professional.
Mr Day took me through the results on my Cornea amd sorted my cataract surgery plan.
Very professional and friendly, answering all questions clearly
If you want the best come to Moorfields Private Eye Hospital. Your sight is something you should not economise on. I have been short sighted since age 13 and now being 59 had early cataracts. I came for lense replacement exchange surgery with Alex Day. The whole experience was top notch. I felt well cared for and now I have BETTER THAN 20/20 vision! It is a joy to be able to see without any glasses or lenses, a truly life changing experience I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. Thank you Alex Day & Moorfields, you have changed my life. I trained with Alex in London and have always been impressed by him - sharp, skilled, and great with patients. He’s an excellent refractive and cataract surgeon, and I’d happily recommend him.
