Mr Ajit Sofat

Mr Ajit Sofat graduated from Manchester University in 1982. After a short period at Harvard, he continued with his training in the North West and in London. During this time he researched brain tumors. He became a Consultant Neurosurgeon in Manchester in 1996 after completing his short fellowship in Memphis.

Mr Sofat's main areas of clinical interest and research include minimally invasive neurosurgery, brain tumors, traumatic injuries of the central nervous system, degenerative conditions of the lumbar spine, and day-case spinal surgery.
