Miss Heather Evans

Miss Heather Evans, Consultant Gynaecologist, currently works within the Royal Free Hospital in London. As a consultant gynaecologist of over 24 years, Miss Evans brings specialist expertise in colposcopy and early gynaecological cancers, alongside a commitment to clear, honest communication. She currently leads the gynaecological cancer services at the Royal Free London and chairs her Trust's MDT meetings. Patients commonly see her following abnormal smear results, for colposcopy, or heavy periods, post-menopausal bleeding or for hysteroscopy. 

Miss Evans began her medical education at the University of Wales where she graduated in 1990. She then progressed on to her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in North West Thames Rotation in London. She was then awarded a fellowship focusing on the role of the HPV virus and cervical cancer at the Royal Free Hospital.

Miss Evans holds many crucial roles within her Trust including holding a clinic for Colposcopy and out-patient procedures, as well as a clinic for hysteroscopy, and a clinic for women referred on the 2 week wait cancer pathway. As well as being the Clinical Lead for gynaecological cancer she has in the past been Clinical Director for her department and Divisional Director for Women's and Children services across the whole of the Royal Free Trust.

She also has a vibrant personal life enjoying exercise, spending time in her holiday home in France and playing with her new Bernedoodle puppy.
