Dr Michael Dhesi

Dr Michael Dhesi is a dedicated Dentist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred dental care. He is a strong advocate of evidence-based dentistry and prioritises a preventative approach to help patients maintain healthy teeth for life. Understanding that visits to the dental clinic can cause apprehension, Dr Dhesi focuses on creating a reassuring and supportive environment, utilising gentle techniques and conscious sedation to manage dental anxiety effectively.

Dr Dhesi completed his secondary education before graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with Honours from the University of Glasgow in 2012. In 2013, he attained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Continuing his post-graduate studies, he earned a Master of Science with Distinction in Advanced General Dental Practice from the University of Birmingham and secured Membership in Primary Dental Care from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has also completed a year-long dedicated course in implant dentistry.

Within his clinical practice, Dr Dhesi has a particular focus on digital restorative dentistry, using modern scanning technologies to address tooth wear and deliver precise, non-invasive restorations. His clinical portfolio encompasses oral surgery, implant dentistry, and full-mouth aesthetic transformations including crowns, bridges, and dentures. In addition to delivering clinical care, Dr Dhesi is actively engaged in dental education, teaching restorative techniques to new graduates through NHS Education for Scotland and serving as secretary for the West of Scotland branch of the Faculty of General Dental Practice.
