I had a really good experience with Dr. Michael FitzPatrick and the staff at the Manor Hospital. Prior to the appointment I was given all the information I needed and the staff was able to reassure me and answer questions I had. During the consultation I felt like my issues were taken seriously and that I was listened to. I had done a few tests prior to this appointment and Dr. FitzPatrick did not want to take more tests as it was not needed, meaning he was patient focused and not having unnessecary tests done to make more money. He also made sure to answer all my questions and concerns and I did not feel rushed. Following the appointmet I received a follow-up letter detailing what was discussed during the apppintment and a clear list of what to do next. Overall, I would recommend going to the Manor Hospital and to Dr. FitzPatrick. I will be going back if I need more help.
Michael is very compassionate, he listened to all my questions and concerns. He provided me with the knowledge of the cause behind my health issues and the confidence of a treatment going forward.
Exceptional gastroenterologist. Very thorough, clear explanations. Extremely patient and kind. I have had a lot of gastrointestinal symptoms over the years and I am grateful to have finally found a gastroenterologist that can help me. Superb bedside manner. I was looked after incredibly well by Dr Fitzpatrick, and the entire endoscopy team. His PA is also excellent always there on the end of the phone. Highly recommended.
Dr Fitzpatrick has been a huge help in diagnosing and helping things move forward for my acid reflux. He is a patient listener, and provides a very good summary of the position, and clear options with expected outcomes for treatment/investigation.

Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. I'm glad everything was clear.
I went for an endoscopy to check for coeliac, although my results were not completely positive Dr FitzPatrick was very educated on the topic and helped me to navigate the next steps forward, he answered my concerns and questions and made sure I fully understood what was happening.

Thank you for your kind words and review.
Friendly and caring at all times. Very clear about procedure which was performed with great skill and kindness by the whole team.

Thank you for your kind feedback - I will let the team know.
Was seen earlier than appointment time, efficient and clear

Swallowing problems (also called dysphagia) are a common reason for patients seeking help from a gastroenterologist. While swallowing problems can be caused by several conditions, one condition, eosinophilic oesophagitis, is actually due to a type of allergy, and it is on the rise.
