Mr Kanmin Xue

Mr Kanmin Xue is a Consultant Vitreo-retinal Surgeon. They are a clinician scientist at the University of Oxford and an NHS Honorary Consultant Vitreo-retinal Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. As a Wellcome Trust Principal Investigator, Mr Xue leads the Retinal Disease and Repair Group at the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology in Oxford. They are dedicated to the advancement of therapies for inherited retinal diseases and participation in clinical trials.

Mr Xue graduated from Brasenose College Oxford with the top first class in Medicine and undertook an MB-PhD programme at Trinity College Cambridge. Following a residency in London and completion of ophthalmology specialist training in Oxford/Thames Valley Deanery, they undertook the prestigious Vitreo-retinal fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the associated National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre.
