Mr Mehul Dattani

Mr Mehul Dattani is a distinguished Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist and Paediatrician who provides expert, supportive care for children and young people experiencing a wide range of endocrine and developmental conditions. Recognised internationally for his expertise in growth disorders and hormonal health, he takes a comprehensive and compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring that families feel fully informed and reassured at every stage of diagnosis and treatment.

Mr Dattani completed his undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) in London before earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at University College London. He subsequently completed advanced post-doctoral research at the Medical Research Council National Institute for Medical Research, investigating the genetic causes of complex growth and pituitary conditions. A Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), he has held major professional leadership positions, including Chair of the British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED) and President of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE).

In his clinical practice, Mr Dattani specialises in all aspects of paediatric and adolescent endocrinology, with a focus on hypothalamo-pituitary disorders, growth disorders, and disorders of sex development. His clinical work includes the diagnosis and management of conditions such as congenital hypopituitarism, septo-optic dysplasia, growth hormone deficiency, adrenal insufficiency, and hypothalamic obesity. Working alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Mr Dattani tailors individual care plans to optimise health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for his young patients.
