About Ms May Labidi
Ms May Labidi is a dedicated Foot and Ankle Consultant Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham, where she has been practising independently since 2018. With expertise in minimally invasive surgery, she offers a comprehensive range of procedures for complex foot and ankle conditions.
Her specialist interests include minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery (MIS), fusion surgery, Achilles tendon surgery, Haglund’s deformity correction, hallux valgus (bunion) surgery, hammer and claw toe correction, foot and ankle fracture management, tendon surgery, and removal of metalwork from the foot and ankle.
Ms Labidi has more than six years of consultant-level experience, with the last four years devoted exclusively to her subspecialty in foot and ankle surgery. She completed two foot and ankle fellowships in England, in addition to an AO fellowship in Dresden, Germany, and further advanced training programmes across Switzerland, Germany, France, and Bristol.
Passionate about education and research, Ms Labidi serves as Educational Lead at her trust, supporting the development of future orthopaedic surgeons. She is also an AO instructor, holds a PhD in Orthopaedics, and is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS).

Ms Labidi was extremely thorough when examining my foot & ankle. She explained everything in terms I completely understood & she was so kind & reassuring. At no point did she rush or give me the impression she needed to see another patient. She is very professional and at the same time a lovely lady.

Ms Labidi fully explained the issues and showed me the mri scan and xrays to fully show the issues. Suggested an injection but i decided to manage the pain for now and agreed to a custom made insole.
