Dr Max Osborne

Dr Max Osborne is a highly skilled Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon specialising in the medical and surgical management of otolaryngological conditions. Dedicated to delivering compassionate and patient-centred care, he provides comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for both adult and paediatric patients. His approach combines thorough diagnostic evaluations with evidence-based surgical interventions, ensuring patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual health needs.

In his clinical practice, Dr Osborne possesses designated expertise in diagnostic head and neck pathology, thyroid surgery, and paediatric otolaryngology. He has a sub-specialist interest in paediatric hearing loss and auditory rehabilitation, with specific expertise in bone-conducting hearing implants. Additionally, Dr Osborne has been instrumental in refining modern diagnostic pathways for head and neck conditions, utilising advanced techniques such as flexible endoscopy and outpatient tissue sampling under local anaesthetic to deliver timely and accurate assessments.

Dr Osborne earned his Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) and his primary medical qualification, the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), before completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on advanced surgical research. He undertook rigorous higher surgical training, obtaining Membership (MRCS) and Fellowship in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (FRCS (ORL-HNS)) from the Royal College of Surgeons. A dedicated medical educator, he holds membership with the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd) and co-founded national professional networks dedicated to supporting neurodivergent surgical trainees and advancing surgical education.
