About Mr Karan Jolly
Mr. Karan Jolly is a Consultant Rhinologist, Endoscopic Sinus and Anterior Skull Base Surgeon who graduated from the University of Birmingham with a medical degree in 2011, driven by a strong fascination with the intricate anatomy of the head and neck. He has built a surgical career focused on this area and currently serves as a Consultant in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr. Jolly completed a prestigious fellowship in Vancouver at St Paul’s Sinus Centre and Vancouver General Hospital, where he gained valuable experience managing complex tertiary cases, including inflammatory and skull base conditions. Prior to this, he trained extensively in the West Midlands, dedicating 18 months specifically to skull base surgery during his specialist training.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jolly has refined his expertise in advanced surgical procedures and continues to engage in research. His contributions to research earned him a national medal from the Royal College of Surgeons aswell as a PhD in Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and reconstruction.
His clinical interests include conditions such as deviated septum, nasal and sinus cancers, head and neck tumors, obstructive sleep apnoea, and facial pain. Mr. Jolly is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of ENTUK, the British Rhinology Society, and the American Rhinology Society.
