Dr Mauro Albrizio

Dr Mauro Albrizio is a highly accomplished Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist who specialises in diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventions. With a clinical focus on musculoskeletal conditions, he provides expert interpretation of complex imaging modalities, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and conventional X-rays. Dr Albrizio is dedicated to delivering precise diagnostic insights that form the foundation of effective patient care and treatment planning.

In addition to diagnostic reporting, Dr Albrizio is highly skilled in performing targeted, image-guided therapeutic procedures. These include ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and CT-guided injections and aspirations for joints, cysts, and bursae. Recognising that medical imaging and needle-based procedures can cause anxiety, he is also a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. This unique qualification allows him to employ specialised communication techniques to support and reassure patients experiencing claustrophobia or needle phobia, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free clinical experience.

Dr Albrizio obtained his primary medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy in 2002. He went on to complete his specialist training in radiology at Pavia University, Italy, before pursuing advanced international training. In 2014, he completed a prestigious fellowship in musculoskeletal MRI at ProScan Education in Cincinnati, USA. He later achieved certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the United Kingdom in 2017. Dr Albrizio is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and is a registered member of the General Medical Council.
