Dr Matthew Stenning

Dr Matthew Stenning is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Consultant Spinal Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis, assessment, and management of complex spinal conditions in adults. Recognised for his patient-centred approach, Dr Stenning works closely with individuals suffering from severe spinal pain, structural instability, and nerve compression to deliver personalised treatment plans designed to restore function, reduce discomfort, and enhance overall quality of life.

Dr Stenning routinely manages a wide variety of degenerative spinal disorders, including spinal stenosis, disc prolapse, and chronic back pain, alongside acute spinal trauma and osteoporotic fractures. His clinical practice encompasses both non-surgical conservative care strategies and advanced surgical techniques. When surgical intervention is required, Dr Stenning performs a range of modern procedures, including microdiscectomy, spinal decompression, spinal fusion, and kyphoplasty, utilising precise operative methods to support safe patient recovery.

Dr Stenning completed his medical training at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, earning his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) degrees.
