Dr Maruthi Vinjam

Dr Maruthi Vinjam is an experienced Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic and management services for a wide spectrum of neurological conditions. Serving as a Clinical Lead within the field of neurosciences, he delivers expert care for patients presenting with complex disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. His practice encompasses both urgent neurological evaluations and the long-term management of chronic conditions, ensuring patients receive supportive, evidence-based care tailored to their individual requirements.

Specialising in neuroinflammatory disorders, Dr Vinjam possesses particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis. He collaborates closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate advanced therapeutic strategies, including disease-modifying treatments and symptom management plans. In addition to his focus on neuroinflammation, Dr Vinjam evaluates and manages individuals affected by epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. He maintains a patient-centred approach to clinical practice, integrating modern medical advancements and research into individualised treatment pathways to improve long-term outcomes and quality of life.

Dr Vinjam completed his higher specialist training in neurology in Yorkshire, followed by a dedicated post-CCT fellowship focused on multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammation. He holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and was appointed as a Consultant Neurologist in 2016. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he is actively engaged in clinical research programmes, departmental leadership, and the education of postgraduate medical trainees.
