Dr Martin Van Carlen is a dedicated Plastic Surgeon who provides high-quality clinical care tailored to the individual needs of his patients. Additionally, he possesses significant expertise in the surgical management of skin cancer, delivering prompt lesion excision alongside advanced flap and graft reconstructive techniques. His clinical scope also includes paediatric reconstructive surgery, such as specialised debulking procedures, as well as craniofacial reconstruction and 3D surface modelling.

Dr Van Carlen completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Aberdeen, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) together with a Bachelor of Medical Science (BSc Med Sci). Dedicated to surgical excellence and academic development, he attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCert Med Ed) and earned his Fellowship and Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
