Dr Martin Cameron

Dr Martin Cameron is a highly dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in maternal foetal medicine. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he focuses on supporting women through high-risk pregnancies and providing expert care in prenatal screening and diagnosis. As a Clinical Director in obstetrics, Dr Cameron is committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence for both mothers and their unborn babies.

His clinical expertise lies in the screening and management of complex pregnancy conditions. Dr Cameron has a particular interest in advanced foetal ultrasound, screening for Down's syndrome, and performing diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. He regularly manages pregnancies affected by foetal abnormalities, rhesus disease, twin pregnancies, and restricted foetal growth, offering compassionate guidance and meticulous monitoring to families during challenging times.

Dr Cameron completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Dundee, earning a Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours in medical microbiology in 1992, followed by his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1994. He later undertook extensive postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, culminating in a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Dundee in 2008. He also completed advanced subspecialty training in maternal foetal medicine. Dr Cameron is an active member of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the British Maternal Foetal Medicine Society, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the MacDonald Obstetric Medicine Society.
