Dr Mario Ganau

Dr Mario Ganau is an accomplished Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in complex spinal disorders, neurotrauma, and cranial surgery. With extensive international training and a patient-centred approach, Dr Ganau provides advanced surgical solutions and personalised care for patients presenting with severe traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord conditions, and complex cranial defects. He is committed to combining high-calibre clinical practice with innovative medical technologies to achieve optimal outcomes for every individual under his care.

Dr Ganau completed his medical degree and foundational neurosurgical training across Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, before undertaking advanced fellowship training in trauma and complex spine surgery in Canada. In addition to his clinical qualifications, he holds dual Doctorates (PhD) in Nanotechnology and Biomedical Engineering, alongside postgraduate degrees in Business Administration and Medical Law and Ethics. He was also appointed as a Global Clinical Scholar at Harvard Medical School. Dr Ganau is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the European Board of Neurological Surgery, and a Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of Edinburgh.
