Mr Daniel Wright

Mr Dan Wright is a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon with expertise in the assessment and management of a wide range of spinal conditions. His practice encompasses both elective and emergency spinal care, with particular interests in degenerative spinal disorders, spinal trauma, and minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Mr Wright undertook general neurosurgery training at the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital before completing a specialist spine fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He also completed orthopaedic spine fellowships at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, and the Oxford Spinal Surgery Unit.

Mr Wright is based at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a major trauma centre and regional referral unit, where he manages a high-volume spinal practice. He has extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical spinal treatments and utilises a range of techniques, including injection therapies, minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures, endoscopic surgery, open spinal surgery, and robotic-assisted spinal surgery. He is recognised as one of the early adopters of robotic and endoscopic spinal surgical techniques in the United Kingdom.

His clinical practice focuses on providing comprehensive spinal care, selecting the most appropriate treatment approach based on the individual's condition and requirements.
