Dr Mando Watson

Dr Mando Watson is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert, compassionate care for children and young people. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Watson is dedicated to delivering holistic care that prioritises prevention, early intervention, and the overall wellbeing of young patients and their families. She specialises in General Paediatrics and integrated child health models designed to support children smoothly across primary and secondary healthcare settings.

In her clinical practice, Dr Watson manages a wide range of childhood medical conditions, with sub-specialty interests in childhood diabetes and paediatric gastroenterology. She also focuses on integrated child healthcare, addressing conditions such as prolonged jaundice and nephrotic syndrome while championing collaborative care frameworks that bring specialist medical expertise directly into community settings. Her clinical philosophy centres on shared decision-making with parents and carers to ensure children receive supportive, individualised care.

Dr Watson completed her medical education in London and at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BChir) in 1988. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and previously served as President of the Paediatrics and Child Health Council of the Royal Society of Medicine. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Watson holds the academic title of Professor of Practice in Integrated Child Health, playing a pivotal role in training the next generation of doctors and shaping child healthcare policy.
