Dr Lydia Milnes is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in lower limb trauma and foot and ankle conditions. With a patient-centred and reassuring approach, she works closely with individuals to deliver accurate diagnoses and personalised treatment strategies. Dr Milnes focuses on alleviating pain, restoring joint and tendon function, and helping patients safely return to their daily routines.

Her clinical practice encompasses a comprehensive range of foot and ankle disorders, as well as complex lower limb trauma. Dr Milnes routinely treats conditions such as hallux valgus (bunions), lesser toe deformities, Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, flat foot, Achilles tendon pathology, ankle instability, and osteoarthritis of the foot and ankle, alongside managing the diabetic foot. Her procedural expertise includes hallux valgus correction, lesser toe procedures, excision of Morton's neuroma, Achilles tendon reconstruction, ankle ligament reconstruction, peroneal tendon surgery, rheumatoid forefoot reconstruction, and joint fusion (arthrodesis).

Dr Milnes completed her higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on a London rotation, gaining comprehensive experience across tertiary and specialist centres. Following qualification, she undertook advanced sub-specialist fellowship training in complex trauma at a leading major trauma centre. She maintains active professional memberships with the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) and the Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS).
